No I'm not proposing to start a trade war in this game. I'm referring to the following....

In ancient times man utilized things known as a BBS and thereupon so many discovered the game TradeWars. It lives on still, http://www.tradewars.com/default.html.

Any old TradeWars players out there? It seems we have a pretty high percentage of Takamo player choose the Trade Corp. player type. So, it seems that there's interest in a play style that favors trade and economics.

A few things that come to mind about that old game was there were three basic types of goods. Different planets had different demands and supply and demand varied as players made multiple runs to the same planet. Has there been any discussion on trade and economic aspects of the new Takamo?

Actually yes there has been some talk of it. Actually they were partially done last game introducing that aspect of the game but it ended before I put the entire thing together. If you ever played a game called Merchants of Venus it has a mechanic that is very interesting, including building a factory on a planet that produced a certain type of good outside the normal goods they produced. The demand tokens and goods tokens once used cycle back into the game as each trade is done meaning sometimes planets run out of goods and sometimes planets have goods but no planet has demands for those goods.

"Merchant of Venus" is a classic "pick up and deliver" boardgame that was recently re-released!
