Possible error in turn

I gave the following sequence of orders to a fleet (orders 2 to 5 of the turn on 3/4/22):
- AC 2 move to a planet
- AC 3 build 3 carriers onto the fleet
- AC 77 build fighters onto the fleet
- AC 73 put up CAP

The first two worked. The AC 77 failed with the message:
Fleet 148 drive engines are inoperative

The AC 73 failed with the messages:
0 Fighter(s) assigned to Cap on Fleet 148
Fighter Group Commander of Fleet 148 reports 0 Fighter(s) now on Cap.
Fleet 148 drive engines are inoperative

I repeated the 77 and 73 orders this turn and got the drive engines error again.

Any idea on what's up?

Ask Thom to look at it

There is a pointer problem with the fleet. Engines go inoperative when the pointer link has been corrupted. It is a fail-safe so you don't lose ship data.contact Thom or me through email with the fleet number and your player ID number. We will take a look and correct the problem.
