I built two cargo ships (Merchant Ship IV), bought cargo at a HW and have tried to sell it at a colony world. It won't sell. The turn report shows the fleet has 40 MCG in it. Where do I sell this?

You sell it to a colony, but does your colony have all the bases built up on it.

Are you selling to your own colony world, or another player's world? Trade Corps are the only empires able to sell at another player's worlds, if I am not mistaken.

I tried to sell it at a colony with pop and CBs. I'm an ICB, btw.

Got the error message:
"Colonial Governor on xxx12345 sends greetings. Requests 87 cargo units.
No cargo units from a terraformed world in Fleet 55 to sell to colony xxx12345"

Odd. Did you buy it from your new HW or a City world, perhaps? Try selling it to another CW and see what happens?

What does your turnsheet say on the action you attempted to sell.

Yes. I was using the quantity field for the cargo instead of the special number field.

It's very confusing that the orders aren't consistent in how they are formatted.
