Out of curiosity, what language is Takamo programmed in?

(I used to write software for a living. Did programming in FORTRAN, BASIC, PL/I, RPG III, APL, MUMPS, C, C++, LISP, KEE, and various assembly languages.)

Takamo was originally written in Xbasic in 1981-82. Later several other versions of Basic, like Quick Basic, GWBasic, and maybe a couple others were used to run the code and add a few programs till about 1996 when Takamo was closed down. Randy bought the game back in 1997 or 98. At that time the game still ran using XBasic so that's what we continued to use to this day, largely because if it isn't broke don't fix it. There is a current version of Xbasic and a group that supports the language. I have not tried to run the old code on the new version but maybe give it a try when time permits.
