The Home world of ERCA Prime is a lush world teeming with life. It wasn’t always like this though. In the time before the great awakening the planet was mostly harsh and arid. This caused many problems for the Ercans. The Ercans are tall slender humanoids who are resistant to most diseases and bacteria. They possess an extremely long life span of 200-300 years with some living to be over 400years old. Because of this the many tribes were in constant conflict over habitable land.
Then Erca, a great scientist, discovered a way to change substances at the molecular level. With this technology they were able to transform vast tracts of previously uninhabitable land into huge farms capable of feeding large numbers of people.
The tribes soon realized it was easier to put down their arms, suppress their violent nature and work together reshaping their world. They set up a ruling council which was headed by the scientist Erca. The many tribes merged into a few and each of these clans has a member on the council. The King heads the council and is a direct descendant of Erca.
Their technology grew by leaps and bounds as did their population since they had eliminated war on their planet. Soon they developed vehicles capable of leaving their planet. Their expansion into outer space rekindled the need for a military to protect themselves.
Today ERCAN Agricultural Centers are sought by many empires to aid in the production of food for their worlds. The Ercans are generally peaceful in their dealings with other races but because of their violent past the Ercan military is capable of holding its own and isn’t afraid or timid about entering into a conflict to protect or expand the Empire.

In a system of space snuggled between three blackholes, the Anlane systems and its inhabitats thrived. The Grand Council, made up of representatives, Clan chiefs, from the hundreds of clans managed the Empire to great effect resulting in centuries of peace and prosperity. The history of the numerous clans is long and each representing great houses in times more ancient. Now, they are separate factions unto themselves and together make up the ruling body of the Empire. The time I mention here in the history of the Anlane is known as The Weeping. It was the time of the Shredders (what the Anlane called Cybers), machines who know nothing of the wonders of life. Only that it must be destroyed!

The Empire was attacked without warning, beginning with those worlds and colonies on the fringe of
Anlane space. No negotiation, no explanations, no offers, no communication, nothing but utter destruction. The Grand Council split, frightened by the horrifying destruction of the Shredders many fled to their own worlds gathered what population they could and fled Anlane seeking safety somewhere among the stars. All that remained was one hundred clans. One hundred clans to battle the Shredders and protect the Empire.

The war was short but fierce. Many shipyards and manufacturing facilities were quickly lost to the Shredders with the defection of the many fleeing clans making it more difficult to face our enemy. Eventually the realization came to ‘The ‘Hundred’ that the war was lost and the decision made to leave Anlane and seek a new home elsewhere. However, unlike the mass scattering of the earlier clans, ‘The Hundred’ left together to seek a safe haven for their people.

It has been many generations since The Weeping and ‘The Hundred’ have settled into an area of space they refer to as the Karkyre. It is here where ‘The Hundred’ will rebuild. They will prepare for the day when they once again meet the Shredders. They will seek out those who betrayed the Empire. Those clans who abandonment their kind should know why they will die, so know this, the children of ‘The Hundred’ will seek you out and make you pay.

The clans of ‘the Hundred’ are now known as ‘The Clans of the Blackhole’ and they are coming.

The Duchy of Brunswick is human. In 1815, during the Battle of Quatre Bras, part of the Waterloo Campaign, it was thought that the then Duke of Brunswick was killed. This was not entirely correct. A copy of his body was left (dead)by aliens, as well as many others at that battle, both allied and French sides.

The aliens made the Duke the leader of a group of these slave warriors, who were then used to battle other “low tech” races throughout the alien’s portion of the galaxy. A planet was set up for the Duke and his forces in between missions. Genetically compatible females were also found and transplanted to this planet. About 40 years later, the aliens stopped coming to this planet but had left some tech behind. This tech was used to expand over the planet, and finally out into space.

The current Duke, John (the Alchemist), is named after a distant relative. Although the Brunswickers have absolutely no idea where Earth is, they are looking for it.

“Genetically compatible females were also found and transplanted to this planet.” I’m envisioning Sub Commander T’Pol so if that is the case sign me up to be abducted. If they don’t look like T’Pol you’ll have to supply photos so I can make a decision on whether I want to be abducted or not. :-)
