Additional Fleet Numbers and Increased Number of Ships

This last turn was the first test of the additional fleet numbers, i.e. those above 100, and a increased allowance for ships, again those above the current 1000 limit. Both seemed to work fine so anyone can now build more fleets and more ships.

I have only added fleet numbers 101 - 105 and only increased the allowable ships to 1050 so it's not a lot but there is good reason. Although I have extensively tested the code up to and including 200 fleets and 2000 ships with no problems I never seem to be able to test that one thing that one player figures out ahead of me. So if we have a problem there are minimal fleets and ships we have to fix.

Also any fleet number over 100 is now under the restriction of 50 ships per fleet as per the coming reduction in fleet sizes. So if you need larger fleets make sure you build them at numbers below 101.

Thanks, Thom. Now, back to the orders to change the fleet number for my new fleet of 100 Marauder 7's :)

I thought the coming reduction in fleet sizes was to be 100 ships per fleet not 50?

We have not officially decided yet. I just put the limit on the ones over 100 at 50 to make sure players don't build hundreds of ships in them and then we have a problem and have to sort it out. It will probably eventually be a limit on number of ships and specific types of ships in a fleet will be restricted as well.
