A Facebook friend mentioned this game to me, and it seemed interesting. Just finished my first turn.

In game, I'm playing ICB, so trying to build all the planets. Got 8 new colonies in my first turn, so I'd say I'm off to a good start. (Though I tried to take 14 of them - didn't realize my starting subsector could have other people or NPCs in it, I just sort of assumed it was clean).

In RL, I'm a financial advisor and generic Excel geek in Canada. Taught myself Excel for another dorky space game, actually - I played a lot of Eve Online about a decade ago, and in the process I taught myself enough Excel to do it as a day job today. Also, I'm slightly younger than Takamo is, since I'm 34.

I've got a few thoughts about the game so far, which I might write up at greater length soon. But in short, I'd love it if the rules PDF were updated(and it's in text format, so it shouldn't be that hard - I might volunteer to do some of it myself), and I'd like to see these forums have a direct link from the website. Also, starting with a giant pile of RUs changes the game a bit, since my first 25 actions were to raise my TL, and I might do another 10 or so on this coming turn.
