SHIP ABBREVIATION ERROR

Postby ImperiumLafayette » Sat Jul 14, 2018 8:30 pm

The ship abbreviation for Rift Scout Cruisers (BC192) is shown in the tech sheet as RSCA. However in the Ship Codes Chart at end of turn it is shown as RSCL and in the download Ship File it is again shown as RSCL.

CL is light cruiser hull classification, CA is cruiser. So in my opinion (be it ever so humble) Rift Scout Cruiser should be RSCA.

Yet a RHCA is 23 tons and RSCL is only 18 tons.

Heavy Cruiser, HCA, Cruiser, CA, Light Cruiser, CL. It is called a Rift Scout Cruiser so should be RSCA. Now if it was called a Rift Scout Light Cruiser I'd agree. In any case there are two different ship abbreviations being used for the same ship.

Tech sheets have been notoriously incorrect. I have given Thom numerous corrections over the years. The simplest thing to do is to correct the tech sheets.
