Nationalize specific centers on a planet

Postby Thom » Sun May 22, 2016 11:19 am

Code was added to allow an empire to nationalize only certain centers on a planet. Previously if you nationalized a planet all centers became yours. However in some instances nationalizing a planet meant also nationalizing your allies centers along with the one you actually wanted to nationalize. It was possibly an intentional design of the game to make nationalizing a tougher decision. Do not know for sure but it seems a little one sided when the owner of the center on your planet can shut it down but you can't nationalize the center. So now an additional code can be typed into the special number slot to selectively nationalize a center. Here are the codes.

1 = Mining Centers
2 = Ag Center
3 = Trade Center

If you leave the special number slot blank the code works as before, nationalizing all centers on the planet.

Do we lose any special considerations that is received from specific centers if they are nationalized?

For example, if we nationalize MCs and we have the additional MCs that the mining corp put into place, do we lose them?

The extra mining centers will be lost along with the production centers they support on the planet unless of course the empire nationalizing them is also a miner. Then the extra mining centers stay.

Thom

As you raise tec why can't you get some more abilities? I for one would like to be able to convert all of my cyber worlds into massive nomadic battle orbs!

BEGIN TRANSMISSION:

In the old game. ICB(s) & Nomad(s) had their Habitat range expand with tec raises. I would like to see that brought back. But along with what Charon the Destroyer brought up, about increasing abilities with Tec Raises. Maybe ALL races could get their Habitat expanded with Tec raises not every tec raise but a few of the really higher levels. and maybe each race would have it happen at different Tec levels. I'm not saying that all races should be able to Terraform or Platform just expand habitat ranges (for Planet builds)

END TRANSMISSION:

The Knights Of Rancor have been reactivated and on the move and the constant broadcast on all known com channels fills the vast darkness of space of the Estra Galaxy once again ........

"Who cares if the Bios' hate they are all to be exterminated. The Galaxy must be cleansed!" (ALLIES ARE THE ONLY EXCEPTIONS)

From the C.C.C. (Collective's Central Core) of the KNIGHTS OF RANCOR (KoR)

Actually all races had their habitat ranges increased as they went up in tec level, not just Nomads and ICB's. Of course only ICB's and Nomads could terraform or platform a world making an unterraformed world into something where mining centers and production centers could be built on. But if a planet was already terraformed then the MC's and PC's could be built in one action rather than one per action.

But that was before, not this game, right?

Yes, the increased habitat ranges were programmed into the original game for all races but somewhere along the line discontinued for some reason.

Wow, I actually agree with a cyber on this one. I know that you won't bring back terraforming abilities, but a general habitat range increase for all races based on overall tech level would be good.
