Problem with Order 89 - Attacking Forts

This is not a gripe board, this is a troubleshooting board. Don’t just say “My turn didn’t work.” be as specific as possible. That way we can work together to fix the issue and make the game better for everyone.

We were puzzled by this for quite a while. I believe that Thom figured out that because the missile strikes are "move & do", the program checks to see if there is anything in orbit that would prevent the strike. What we didn't expect, and the original code didn't provide for, was players STARTING their missile strike from the planet orbit of the target. Now that may or may not have happened here but if I recall our discussions in the dev team meetings, the program that handles the move probably canceled the attack but then did not have an explanatory message line to explain the failure so nothing was printed out in the turn result. I believe Thom has now coded a fix.
